For 11 weeks, I was tasked to cover a story in Madison. After some deliberation, I decided to research the drag community in Madison and see how drag performance can affect a person’s identity. Throughout the 11 weeks, I interviewed UW-Madison staff members, local drag performers and students to see how drag has affected their lives or the lives of the people around them.
I built this website to display all of the written and design pieces I created for this project. When you go to the site you will find a main story about the topic of drag and identity as a whole, an interview story with a student drag queen, as well as advice, inspiration and tons and tons of pictures.
